We are deeply saddened to inform you that our highly valued colleague, Gert van Beek, passed away suddenly on Thursday evening, December 11. This unexpected loss is a tremendous shock to his family, our team, and everyone who knew him. In addition to being a loving husband, father, and bass player, Gert was a dedicated and committed colleague who played an important connecting role within our organization—and beyond—for nearly ten years. “No-nonsense” and “what you see is what you get” were his guiding principles. We will deeply miss his unwavering dedication, sense of humor, solution-oriented mindset, and his ability to bring people together. His footsteps cannot be filled. Instead, we will each contribute our own strengths and, as a team, strive to continue our work in his spirit. A true team player and sparring partner is no longer with us. We will miss you dearly, Gert.
